Blackstone Imagery LLC is the photography business of Jared K. Nelson. Born in South Dakota and raised in Texas, Jared now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Growing up watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom on Saturday mornings kindled Jared’s interest in photography, and he purchased his first “big camera” at thirteen. Photography remained in Jared’s life, to one degree or another, for the next quarter-century.
Then, Jared’s passion for photography was reignited by a birthday present from his wife – namely, an aerial photography workshop over Tulsa. Ever since that day Jared has been avidly pursuing photography as his newfound profession, consuming every ounce of information and putting it into practice at every opportunity.
Jared enjoys the challenge of bridging the artistic and technical aspects of photography to deliver exceptional results for his clients, whether they be families seeking a keepsake portrait, businesses seeking images for marketing and promotional purposes, or individuals seeking works of art to adorn their walls. Each project presents unique challenges and opportunities, which keeps Jared fully invested regardless of the circumstances.
Jared fundamentally believes in continuous improvement, that it is always possible to do better, and that each shoot is an opportunity to further develop his craft.
